Privacy Policy
What we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how to tell us to stop.
This policy covers dungeonforward.com, operated by Complex Apparel LLC, doing business as DungeonForward. It explains how we handle personal information when you visit the site, place an order, sign up for email or SMS, or contact us.
What we collect
Information you give us
- Name, email address, shipping and billing address, and phone number.
- Order details, including what you bought, sizes and order history.
- Account login information if you create an account.
- Email and SMS marketing preferences.
- Messages you send us through the contact form, email, phone or social media.
- Reviews, ratings and photos you choose to submit.
Information collected automatically
- Device and browser type, operating system, and screen information.
- IP address and approximate location derived from it.
- Pages viewed, products viewed, time on site, and the site or ad that referred you.
- Cookies, pixels and similar technologies, described below.
What we do not collect
We never see or store your full payment card number. Checkout and payment processing are handled by Shopify and its payment providers, who are responsible for that data under their own security standards. We also do not collect Social Security numbers or government ID numbers.
Cookies and tracking
Yes, this site uses cookies and similar tracking technologies. Any earlier version of this policy that said otherwise was out of date and is corrected here.
| Type | What it does |
|---|---|
| Essential | Keeps your cart and session working, secures checkout, and prevents fraud. The site cannot function without these. |
| Analytics | Tells us which pages and products people visit, so we know what to improve. |
| Advertising | Lets us show ads to people likely to be interested, measure whether those ads worked, and avoid showing you the same thing repeatedly. |
Advertising and analytics technologies on our site include those provided by Shopify, Google, Meta, Microsoft, TikTok and Klaviyo. This list can change as we add or remove tools.
How to limit tracking
- Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in settings. Blocking essential cookies will break checkout.
- Adjust ad personalization at Google Ads Settings and in your Meta ad preferences.
- Use the industry opt-out tools at optout.aboutads.info and optout.networkadvertising.org.
- We honor the Global Privacy Control signal where required by law.
Why we use your information
- To process, fulfill and deliver your orders, and to handle returns and exchanges.
- To send order confirmations, shipping notices and other transactional messages.
- To answer your questions and provide support.
- To send marketing email and SMS, when you have opted in.
- To run and measure advertising, and to show relevant products.
- To understand how the site is used and to improve it.
- To detect and prevent fraud and abuse.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only as needed to run the business. Our providers are permitted to use it to perform services for us, not for their own unrelated purposes.
| Purpose | Who |
|---|---|
| Store platform, checkout and payments | Shopify and its payment processors |
| Producing made to order items | Printful and Gelato, who receive your name and shipping address |
| Shipping labels and delivery | ShipStation, and carriers including USPS, UPS, DHL and FedEx |
| Email and SMS marketing | Klaviyo |
| Customer support | Gorgias |
| Returns and exchanges | Our returns portal provider |
| Product reviews | Judge.me |
| Advertising and product listings | Google, Meta, Microsoft, TikTok and feed management tools |
We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to respond to a subpoena or court order, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, property or safety of our customers or others. If the business is sold or merged, customer information may transfer as part of that transaction.
Selling and sharing
We do not sell your personal information for money.
However, when we use advertising cookies and pixels from companies like Google and Meta, information about your activity on our site is shared with them so they can measure and target advertising. Under California law and some other state privacy laws, that counts as "selling" or "sharing" personal information, so we want to be direct about it rather than hide behind a technicality. You can opt out using the methods in the tracking section above, or by emailing us.
Marketing messages
You can unsubscribe from marketing email using the link at the bottom of any message, or reply STOP to any marketing SMS. You will still receive transactional messages about orders you have placed, since those are not marketing.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as needed to support the purchase and to meet tax, accounting and legal requirements, which is typically several years. Marketing contact information is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove it. Support conversations are kept for a reasonable period so we have context if you write again.
Security
We use industry standard measures to protect personal information, including encrypted connections across the site and at checkout, and access controls limiting who can see customer data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, or to stop marketing to you. Email orders@dungeonforward.com and we will respond within the time the law allows. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
California residents
Under the CCPA and CPRA you have the right to know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, sell or share; to request deletion; to correct inaccurate information; to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising; and to limit the use of sensitive personal information, which we do not collect for those purposes. You may use an authorized agent to make a request.
UK and EU residents
We ship internationally, so if you are in the UK or EU you have rights under the UK GDPR and GDPR, including access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection to processing. Our legal bases are performance of a contract for orders, consent for marketing and non-essential cookies, and legitimate interests for fraud prevention and improving the site. Your information is processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate, which may have different data protection laws. You have the right to complain to your local supervisory authority.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our business or the law changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised, and material changes will be posted here.
