North Carolina A&T State University is the largest HBCU in the country. Founded in 1891 in Greensboro, NC A&T has grown into an institution that produces more Black engineers in the United States than any other university. The Aggies carry blue and gold through a city where four A&T freshmen sat down at a Woolworth's lunch counter in 1960 and started something that changed America. The school has never forgotten what it means to be in Greensboro.

Founded in 1891, NC A&T has produced astronauts, generals, engineers, civil rights leaders, and entertainers who have shaped American life across every decade. Ronald McNair and Guion Bluford, two of the first Black astronauts in space, both came through this campus. Jesse Jackson graduated from A&T before he went on to lead movements. The Aggies have always produced people who push the boundaries of what is possible.
