Cheyney University has been here since 1837, making it the oldest HBCU in America. Before any other institution on this list existed, Cheyney was already educating Black students in Pennsylvania and proving that the hunger for knowledge could not be legislated away. The Wolves carry blue and white through nearly two centuries of that founding purpose.
Shop the Cheyney collection at DungeonForward for hoodies, sweatshirts, and tees built for Wolves who carry the oldest crown in HBCU history. Every piece was designed with the respect that a 187-year legacy deserves. Students, alumni, and supporters of America's first HBCU will find something worthy of the occasion here.
CIAA tradition, the Philadelphia-area HBCU community, and the quiet confidence that comes from representing the school that started everything. This collection was built for those moments when Cheyney people come together. Wear it to the game, to homecoming, or any time you want to represent the foundation.
Founded in 1837, Cheyney operated in a country where Black people were still enslaved. The school's very existence was an act of defiance, and that spirit has never left the campus. Every Cheyney graduate stands on ground that was hard-won and worth protecting. The Wolves have been carrying that history for longer than any other HBCU in the nation.
DungeonForward is a Black-owned headwear and apparel brand rooted in art, storytelling, and HBCU culture. Every Cheyney piece in this collection was built with deep respect for what the oldest HBCU represents. A portion of every HBCU collection purchase supports HBCU scholarships. Crowns For The Culture means remembering where the story began.
Crown Yourself. Go Wolves.
