The Yard - Howard University
Howard University sits in Washington D.C. and has been producing Bison since 1867. The Mecca is not a nickname given lightly. Howard has trained more Black doctors, lawyers, engineers, and PhDs than any other university in the country. Thurgood Marshall argued Brown v. Board of Education with a Howard law degree. Kamala Harris walked this campus. Chadwick Boseman performed on this stage. The list of what Howard has given to the world is long and still growing.

Howard Homecoming is one of the most celebrity-attended HBCU events in the country. The yard fills with alumni, entertainers, and supporters who make the trip to D.C. for a weekend that the culture pays attention to. The Bison football game, the concerts, the fashion on the yard, all of it runs together into something that Howard graduates recognize as home. This collection was built for those moments.
Founded in 1867, Howard has operated for over 155 years in the capital of the United States, training the people who would go on to shape American law, medicine, politics, science, and culture. The school's dental and medical schools have produced more Black professionals in their fields than any other institution in the country. Howard produces what the country needs, and has been doing it since two years after the Civil War ended.
DungeonForward is a Black-owned headwear and apparel brand built on art, storytelling, and HBCU culture. Every Howard piece in this collection was designed to honor the Mecca with the respect the school has earned. A portion of every HBCU collection purchase supports HBCU scholarships. Crowns For The Culture means investing in the schools that have always invested in Black America.
